Who Is Bill Coleman?

Performing as a professional entertainer since 1973, he made up half of the popular Northwest folk/rock recording duo, "Blackhawk County." Their hit single, "Oregon (I Can't Go Home)" brought national recognition.

As a diverse stand out single entertainer/musician performing in some of the Northwest's most popular resorts and clubs, he has also put together several rock bands and gospel combinations with some of the area's finest musicians.

Returning to his roots in the early ninety's, Bill has produced and recorded five collections of folk music inspired by the Civil War. Teamed with his talented wife, Carla, the two continue to write original historical dramas based upon the Civil War, and tour through out the United States. They have worked with the Oregon Council for the Humanities "Chautauqua" series since 2001 offering free performances at libraries, senior centers, etc.

Their gospel collection titled, "Turn Your Radio On!" was released in 2003 to immediate acclaim, and Bill is currently in the process of recording a country/rock collection of original songs.
